Wales still seeking first points
Gary Speed will look to avoid another defeat against Montenegro and instead steer his Wales side to their first points in UEFA EURO 2012 qualifying Group G.
• Speed's predecessor John Toshack was dismissed as Wales coach in the wake of a 1-0 loss in Podgorica in his side's Group G opener on 3 September last year. Mirko Vučinić's tenth goal in 20 international appearances settled the game after 30 minutes.
• It was Montenegro's first UEFA European Championship qualifier as an independent nation. The Football Federation of Montenegro (FSCG) was not granted full UEFA membership until January 2007.
• Wales are one of four sides yet to pick up a point in UEFA EURO 2012 qualifying, along with Andorra, Malta and San Marino.
• Zlatko Kranjčar's visitors remain level on 11 points with England at the top of the section, though a little of the gloss has come off after their exceptional start. After winning their first three fixtures, they have drawn the last two – away against England and Bulgaria, conceding their first Group G goal in the latter fixture, a 1-1 draw.
• Wales and Montenegro's only previous meeting produced a 2-1 victory for Montenegro on 12 August 2009, when a Stevan Jovetić penalty and a Radomir Djalović strike on the stroke of half-time put the hosts ahead before Sam Vokes pulled one back after the break.
